Story of a Choker: Ritika Sachdeva

I believe chokers have been trending so long that at this point they might as well be a closet staple. They come in all sizes and shapes and the variety is pretty much endless. So now the struggle is to find this new closet staple a personality of its own.

For me the clear winner is Ms. Sachdeva’s twist of east-meets-west slash bohemian slash tribal embellished choker.

Here is my take on the how to get this choker on pretty much everything you own.

With a Turtle Neck

Winter is not really going anywhere anytime soon, so pair up this funky piece with a simple black turtleneck and jeans for a daytime look. Keeping this cozy with a twist.

With a Classic White Shirt

Wear this choker inside a classic white shirt and pair of cropped fringe jeans to keep things on trend. Let the accessories bring in that pop of color while keeping the outfit monochrome.

With a Simple Camisole

A open neckline + choker? Indeed! Chokers are known to accentuate your neckline and shoulders so pairing this one with a basic camisole and a flirty pleated skirt might just be your next outfit of choice to the next lunch date. (Don’t forget a clutch to keep all the necessities handy)

Brocade

I was on a mission this winter. And the mission was to own the most comfortable, warm and pretty shoes that last me all winter and I was not going to give up or give in! This mission of course started with these eye catching Sam Edelman booties.

The process of buying these shoes went so:

week 1: “Omg I love these! But do I really need them”

Week 2: “Let me add them to my Shopping bag”

Week 3: “Crap they are sold out! I wish I bought them. Let me get on Pinterest and see how good they look on all these Street Stylers.”

Week 4: “Man I’ll never find the shoes I love ever again”

Week 5: “They are back in stock! Thank you that one person who returned them (I doubt your taste, but thanks!)” In my shopping back and Checked out.

SO for the rest of you, I am going to compile a sweet list of brocade shoes that currently exist in my shopping bag and I could not buy because I’ve already clicked checkout on  my one beloved pair.
